An overview of the risks
When building a company building or renovated you will inevitably be faced with choices. Before the construction activities have started, Burghgraef van Tiel (part of the Troostwijk Group) can, as an independent consultant, identify the risks in the field of fire, burglary and security level for you.
You can also use our services during and after the construction of your property. We clearly identify the risks and consequences of any changes. This way you are insured of making the right choices at any time.
Our construction supervision consists of three project phases, during these phases all possible risks are analyzed. Every project phase is also available separately.
In this first phase the principles of the object to be built, or renovated, are discussed. This will be done together with you, your architect and contractor. The points of attention that will be discussed (among other things) are the following:
- Chosen building materials
- Level of security installations (fire area)
- Level of security installations (burglary and access control)
- Level of other protections (overvoltage)
- Level of fire-limiting measures (e.g. fire-resistant partitions)
- Security level of process installations
- Solar panels
- Delivery of technical installations
- Possible increased risk due to climate change
This phase consists of a meeting with the parties involved and when all the necessary information has been provided, a report is drawn up. This report contains the most important points for attention.
In the second phase, when the construction is in the final stages, a risk analysis can be drawn up. For this part we use our full scan report, including grading model. This report describes all relevant risks, protection levels and can be used for the purchase of your fire insurance.
In the third phase, we calculate the business interruption interest still to be insured. This is required for the security of the continuity of your company. We analyze the dependance of your company on the internal and external factors together with your insurance broker. We also evaluate the way in which we can integrate these factors within the business interruption insurance.
